About Me

I am originally from Boulder, Colorado but I have been transplanted to Phoenix, Arizona.   Despite the heat, I have come to love Arizona and its variable landscapes and climate.  I enjoy hiking in our great national parks and taking photographs of our beautiful scenery. 

I am a middle school science teacher in Phoenix.  This will be my 14th year teaching!  I use a lot of my photography and experiences with nature in my lessons.  My goal is to have some future naturalists emerge from my classroom.  I think this is important for our future.

I also post some of my lessons online at Teachers Pay Teachers.  I really enjoy this and I think it has made my lessons even better, as I now share them with others.
